High School Chorus
The high school chorus, directed by Joanne Lee, is open to any student. Participants are exposed to a wide variety of styles and periods of music such as madrigals, classical works, broadway numbers, sacred spirituals, and contemporary works. Special emphasis is placed on learning to read vocal music, and sight singing is part of the daily warm up. The chorus prepares music for five performances during the school year. Performance participation is mandatory.
Students are encouraged to audition for District 1 and All State Music Festivals (see more info to the right).
For more information on chorus and honors auditions, please visit Ms. Lee’s High School Chorus website.
Middle School Chorus
5th & 6th Grade Chorus: All are welcome! If you're not sure if you'd enjoy chorus or not, please join us for a few rehearsals to see. We meet first as a full group at the beginning of the year, and then split up into smaller groups. If interested, students should see MS Chorus Director Emily LeBorgne the first week of school for a letter to go home, and listen for announcements.
7th & 8th Grade Chorus: We have an eclectic mixture of music for us this year! There are some great apps for the new iPads, which will help with sight singing and practicing your parts at home.
